Stacy Miller

Associate General Counsel, Director of Human Resources, CAFE'

Stacy E. Miller serves as Associate General Counsel to the University and the Director of Extension Human Resources.

In private practice she served 13 years with Stoll Keenon Ogden, PLLC where she was a member of the firm’s Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits practice group.

As Director of Extension Human Resources Stacy advises the University on compliance with local, state and federal employment laws including the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Rehabilitation Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Kentucky wage and hour statutes and the Kentucky Civil Rights Act.

Stacy is a graduate of the UK College of Law where she was a member of the Kentucky Law Journal. She earned her Master's degree from UK's Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce and a Bachelor’s degree in French from UK.

She has co-authored several publications including:

• UK/CLE Employment Law in Kentucky Handbook, “Discrimination Based Upon Disability,” Chapter 6 (4th ed.) (2013); and
• Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, The Kentucky Employee Benefits Guide (3d ed.) (2017).

Ms. Miller is a member of the Kentucky and American Bar associations as well as the Society for Human Resources Management, and previously served multiple terms as the Secretary of the Kentucky Circuit Court Clerks Conduct Commission.
