Savannah Baker is Assistant General Counsel for Student Success and Academics at the University of Kentucky. Prior to joining the University's Office of Legal Counsel, Savannah worked as deputy general counsel for the Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts, where she led special examinations of public entities, including the Kentucky Department of Education and Jefferson County Public Schools, to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness as well as the proper and lawful use of public funds. Before that, Savannah was in private practice, working as an associate attorney at Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Moloney PLLC in the government and education practice groups. In that position, Savannah counseled and litigated on behalf of the University of Kentucky. Prior to private practice, Savannah advised the federal bench as a law clerk for the Honorable Claria H. Boom in the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. 

Savannah was born and raised in Kentucky. She received her undergraduate and law degree from the University of Kentucky. During law school, she served as a member of the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture, & Natural Resources Law, worked as a student research assistant, and was the recipient of Best Oral Argument for her legal research and writing club.
