Samantha Thomas-Bush
Associate General Counsel
Samantha Thomas-Bush is an Associate General Counsel for the Medical Risk Management Group in Ashland, Kentucky. She currently serves as litigation counsel managing ongoing litigation, threatened litigation, professional licensure reporting, subpoenas, investigations, and risk issues.
Prior to serving as litigation counsel for the Medical Risk Management Group she advised UKKD on human resources, compliance, privacy, and risk matters, managed litigation, and negotiated transactions.
In the private sector, she was a member of a boutique litigation firm, where her practice centered on medical negligence, product liability, and employment law defense.
Samantha is from Point Pleasant, West Virginia and received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Marshall University, where she reported for the student newspaper, The Parthenon, and was a research assistant for Pulitzer Prize-nominee Jean Edward Smith. Her law degree is from the University of Louisville, where she was the co-chair of the Student Bar Foundation.
