Samantha Thomas-Bush

Associate General Counsel

Samantha Thomas-Bush is an Associate General Counsel at UK King’s Daughters Medical Center (“KDMC”) in Ashland, Kentucky.  She has over a decade of legal experience in both the public and private sectors.

As Associate General Counsel, Samantha advises UK King’s Daughters on transactional matters, manages litigation, employment and human resources issues, compliance and privacy, regulatory matters, and risk mitigation strategies.  She works closely with the compliance, privacy, behavioral medicine, cybersecurity, and human resources teams. 

Prior to joining UK King’s Daughters, she was a member of Farrell, White & Legg PLLC in Huntington, West Virginia, a boutique litigation firm, where her practice centered on medical negligence, product-liability, and employment law defense. 

Samantha was born and raised in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.  She received her undergraduate degree and master’s degree from Marshall University.  Her law degree is from the University of Louisville, where she was on the Immigration Moot Court team and the Arbitration Team.  She was also the co-chair of the Student Bar Foundation.
