Maridelle Malone

Associate General Counsel

Maridelle Malone is an Associate General Counsel at UK King’s Daughters.  Since joining UK King’s Daughters legal services division in the fall of 2022, she has focused primarily on transactional matters, compliance and security issues, risk management strategies, and new employee training.  She works closely with Health Information Management, Human Resources, Risk Management and Security teams at UK King’s Daughters.

Before joining UK King’s Daughters, Maridelle served for nineteen years as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 20th Judicial Circuit, serving as First Assistant for nine years.  Over the course of her career in the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office, Maridelle managed substantial caseloads and prosecuted all types of felony cases, including capital cases and a significant number of cases involving child victims.

Prior to working in the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, Maridelle was engaged in private practice at a general practice firm in northern Virginia, handling cases in areas ranging from family law to personal injury. 

A native of Virginia, Maridelle moved to eastern Kentucky in 2002. She graduated summa cum laude from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri where she majored in English and Government.  She earned her law degree from George Mason University at Antonin Scalia Law School in Arlington, Virginia. She is admitted to practice law in Virginia and Kentucky.
