Kyle M. Wiggins
Associate General Counsel
Kyle M. Wiggins is Associate General Counsel for Health Affairs & Research, providing practical and proactive advice on health care operational matters, including contracting and other strategic business opportunities, as well as regulatory advice related to state and federal laws such as the federal anti-kickback statute, the Stark Law, and others. Kyle has more than eighteen years of legal experience in private practice and as in-house counsel.
Kyle began his legal career at Lewis Thomason in Memphis, Tennessee, where he focused on health care litigation, primarily representing physicians and physician groups. He continued his health care practice at Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, in Memphis, where a large part of his practice included representing a five-hospital health system. Before joining the Office of Legal Counsel, Kyle served for seven years as in-house counsel at Kindred Healthcare (now a part of LifePoint Health) in Louisville, Kentucky, supporting nationwide operations and providing regulatory advice.
A native of Paris, Tennessee, Kyle obtained his undergraduate degree cum laude from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and obtained his law degree cum laude from the University of Memphis. During law school, Kyle was a member of the Law Review, and after graduation, he served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Alan E. Glenn, decd., Judge for the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. Kyle and his wife Andrea have two daughters.
