Jody Perry
Clinical Risk Professional
Jody Perry is a Clinical Risk Professional with Medical Risk Management. Her key role is to recognize organizational clinical risk and to identify, investigate and collaborate with other departments and services to prevent or mitigate injury to patients, staff and visitors.
As a Registered Nurse of 40 years, Jody has clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynecologic care as well as Surgical Services. For 15 of those years she worked for the medical malpractice defense firm Dinsmore and Shohl as a Nurse Paralegal. In this position she developed a unique skillset as a liaison between the medical and legal worlds. She assisted with case development from the initial complaint through preparation for and attendance at trials.
Jody holds the credential of CPHRM which is the profession’s top certification and a symbol of professionalism and credibility in the health care risk management field. She also serves on the Education Committee of the Kentucky Society for Healthcare Risk Management, which advances the development and role of healthcare risk management through educational and networking opportunities.
