Heather Rochet
Associate General Counsel
Heather Rochet is an Associate General Counsel at UK King’s Daughters Medical Center (“UK King’s Daughters”). She has more than a decade of experience providing legal, compliance, and risk management guidance to stakeholders within the healthcare industry.
As Associate General Counsel, Heather manages medical malpractice and general litigation and advises UK King’s Daughters in various areas of healthcare law, including contracts, regulatory compliance, risk management, operations, human resource issues, and licensing. In addition to her duties for UK King’s Daughters, Heather also provides legal guidance and assistance to UK King’s Daughters’ subsidiary corporations, including its long-term care facility, ambulance service, and day care facility.
Throughout her career as a healthcare attorney, Heather has served in Director of Compliance, Director of Risk Management, and In-house Counsel roles within the healthcare industry. Prior to joining UK King’s Daughters, Heather managed a team of care delivery attorneys and compliance professionals responsible for monitoring compliance and implementation of federal and state laws that impacted care delivery operations across all 50 states for primary care clinics, pharmacy clinics, mail-order pharmacy, specialty pharmacy and home health operations. Prior to that, Heather served as In-house Counsel for a healthcare system advising senior executives on legal matters related to general healthcare, regulatory compliance, and legal affairs. Additionally, Heather functioned in a dual role as Director of Compliance and Director of Risk Management for a hospital and health system with direct accountability for overseeing legal matters, corporate compliance, risk management, and safety operations.
Heather was born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in and around Crestwood, Kentucky. She received her bachelor’s degree from Temple University. She earned her law degree from Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville where she was a published member of the Brandeis Law Journal and a member of the Health Law Moot Court Team. She subsequently earned her Master of Laws in Health Law with a Compliance Concentration from the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy at Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.
