Ashley Salyer
Associate General Counsel
Ashley Salyer is an Associate General Counsel at UK King’s Daughters Medical Center (“UK King’s Daughters”). She has more than a decade of legal experience in public service and private practice.
As Associate General Counsel, Ashley manages medical malpractice and general litigation and advises UK King’s Daughters in various areas of healthcare law, including contracts, regulatory compliance, risk management, operations, human resource issues, and licensing. In addition to her duties for UK King’s Daughters, Ashley also provides legal guidance and assistance to the various UK King’s Daughters’ subsidiary corporations.
Before joining UK King’s Daughters, Ashley spent five years in public service, serving as Director of Community Services & Codes Enforcement for Magoffin County. In that role, she handled a variety of legal matters involving contracts, real estate, procurement, and employment/HR issues, as well as ensuring regulatory compliance related to multiple administrative positions she held. She began her legal career in private practice at Smith Law Office in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, where her experience primarily focused on health care litigation, representing hospitals and long-term care facilities.
A native of Salyersville, Kentucky, Ashley obtained her undergraduate degree from Morehead State University and law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
