Amy Spagnuolo, CKP

Principal Paralegal / Director of Open Records

Amy Renee Spagnuolo is the Director of the Open Records Office as well as Principal Paralegal for the Office of Legal Counsel at the University of Kentucky. She has more than thirty years of experience in private practice, state government and the university environment.

Ms. Spagnuolo deals with matters involving employment law, education law and personal injury against the University. She also manages the Open Records Office for the University, handles subpoenas for documentation, manages outside litigation, and conducts legal research.  

Before assuming her present position with the University in 2011, she spent ten years employed by the law firm of Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Moloney as a litigation paralegal focusing primarily in public entity and governmental defense and employment and labor law. She has extensive experience in both federal and state court matters.  In addition, she has worked for the law firms of Geralds, Jones, Sherrow, Schrader & Rice as well as Landrum & Shouse in Lexington, KY.

Ms. Spagnuolo is a Certified Kentucky Paralegal (CKP) and a member of the Kentucky Paralegal Association since 2012.  Ms. Spagnuolo also serves on the Board for the Kentucky Paralegal Association.
